Our programs are developed
for group classes in which students have
all been tested and present the level
required to develop well through the
curriculum. Our class dynamics fosters
the learning process by
addressing students’ needs specifically and generally. It is important
to note that in the case of the GMAT, our program encompasses the preparation
of the verbal (English) part of the test only. After the diagnostic test, which
is a complete test, including math, we refer students who need further math training
to math professors. In the past 9 years, we have worked with the two best math
professors in the market with over 15 years of experience and with top updated
material.
For those who are joining the group program, classes meet once a week, for three
hours, either on weekdays or on Saturdays with a homework load of approximately
8 hours a week. Class size has on average 12 students for the GMAT and 8 students
for the TOEFL. We have already updated all of our materials for the NEW GENERATION TOEFL IBT. We attended ETS’ Seminar on the new test format last year and had one of our teachers trained in Washington DC last July. We are very much aligned with the changes, having put together a comprehensive and solid program to enable you to conquer the new test.
Private Classes: We do offer private tutoring for both TOEFLand GMAT, and a tailored program can be developed according to the student’s
needs.
• Program Placement
for SAT and GRE
Upon the diagnostic result, students are tutored privately. Programs are developed
according to specific needs. It is important to note that for SAT and GRE,
our program encompasses the preparation of the verbal (English) part of the
test only. After the diagnostic test, which is a complete test, including math,
we refer students who need further math training to math professors. For the
past 9 years, we have worked with the two best math professors in the market
with over 15 years of experience and with top updated material.
• Enrollment Process
Once the student has taken the diagnostic test and received a full feedback
from Professor Paulo César or Neusa, he or she is ready either to
enroll in a group or be tutored privately. The student is then properly allocated,
signs a formal services contract, and collects the study plan mentioned below.
• Course Guide for TOEFL, GMAT,
SAT & GRE
Students will receive, upon enrolling, a comprehensive study plan that will
cover class content and homework for each class of the entire program, providing
a full perspective of the whole course and enabling them to plan accordingly.
Our course is composed of three phases, namely:
Phase 1 - building grammar foundation
and strategy expertise – In this
phase, students will fully learn test
content and how to approach the different
types of questions. Performance is
practiced from the very beginning and
individual development is checked weekly.
Phase 2 - practicing with sections and fine tuning – In this phase, students
will practice performance and fully master attack skills and test hurdles.
Learning to focus and deal with time pressure are skills that are trained in
the whole program and specially addressed here.
Phase 3 - taking computer mock tests – Students will
take a battery of complete tests, training for the
final day. Performance is adjusted, leveraged and consolidated for the final
performance. Progression is tracked down carefully and test date is set individually.
Math program - We believe that the two parts of GMAT, Verbal and Quantitative can best be maximized by being administered by experts. To that end, instead of developing our own math program, we work in partnership with the best math professors in the market. Our robust program is totally aligned with those offered by them, and we all keep in constant contact to be sure we are maximizing students’ potential in both fronts. We have had tremendous synergy with the following professors who have guaranteed, along with our thorough verbal preparation, phenomenal scores on the GMAT by providing trainings that suit the individual needs of the students:
Professor Julio Caro
Professor Luciana Chamie
Professor Fabio Skilnik
Professor Nelson Pires
These professors render math classes in their own offices. Their contact can be obtained by calling the center.
• Coaching and Advising
The performance of the students will be monitored every class concerning the
amount of homework covered during the week. Students will also be taking
assessment tests almost every class in order to check on their progress.
Throughout the program, the teacher will be advising them about strategies
and performance maximization, coaching every one into reaching his or her
full learning potential. The results are highly predictable, since we monitor
every step of the program and make adjustments when necessary.
• Workshops
During the GMAT Preparation Course, Professor Paulo will administer two workshops
that are held on Saturday, namely:
